Do you play an instrument or Dance?
Doesn’t this look like fun? Wanna be part of the NEXT event? Sure, you haven’t played or danced in 15 years … but hey, ALL of us were like that when WE joined the Get A Life Band. Find out how you can hit the streets with us!
We appreciate our sponsors. Please click on their logos to visit their websites!
We are actively recruiting new members to fill in the ranks. If you (or you know someone) who used to play, or currently plays an instrument – come to one of our rehearsals and check us out, or click the “Ask Us” button in the column on the right side of this page.
Get A Life Dance Team now forming. We are proud to welcome the very talented Kim Sanchez to our band. She brings 20 years of experience dancing, coaching and judging high school dance teams and serving on the Board of Directors for the Dance and Drill Coaches Association. Kim joins us as the new Dance Team Captain and is actively recruiting dancers. To find out how you can get involved just click on the “Ask Us” button in the column on the right side of this page.
Rehearsal details are also on right side of this page. Our band is all about having fun and entertaining folks. Not to worry if your musician skills are rusty – this band is a great way to get back in practice!
The booking requests are pouring in and our board of directors is hard at work figuring out which events we can do. Check the right column under “NEXT PERFORMANCE” to see where we’ll be next. Or click on the “Calendar” tab to what’s coming up.

NAMM SHOW 2012!!!
We played the NAMM 2012 Show and we’re back! and it was a huge success! We joined the Fernand L. Petiot marching band along with some of the industry’s finest musicians to open the show with the traditional parade through the arena. We played John Phillips Sousa’s Washington Post March and stopped in each hall to play the Star Bangled Banner.
The highlight for us was the 40 min. performance on the B/C Patio Stage. We sounded better than good – we sounded GREAT! At least that’s what the many folks who stopped us after the show told us.
Here’s just one example of why we love going to NAMM. From the Roland Stage, a wonderful mix of all-star players get together and JAM using some of the coolest tools at the show. This clip features: Kern Brantley, Valdez Brantley, Tyra Juliette, George Spanky McCurdy, Brockett Parsons, Scott Tibbs and an awesome sax solo from Patrick Lamb.
The Get A Life Marching Band™ would publicly like to thank our sponsors for making this trip possible:
- Clackamas Cultural Coalition and The Oregon Cultural Trust for helping us with a grant to help provide for this trip.
- Audix Microphones for Instrumental and Vocal Microphones for our NAMM B/C Patio Stage Show.
